Day 4 & 5: Vedauwoo Recreation Area

We camped last night at Vedauwoo (pronounced VEE-duh-voo) State Recreation Area in Wyoming. It's near the east end of the state on I-80 between Laramie and Cheyenne.
There are these amazing rock formations everywhere.
We got our tent set up and enjoyed a campfire with a moon above.
 Breakfast this morning.
More views of the campsites at Vedauwoo
We went and played on the rocks for a little bit...
...and hiked through a lovely little aspen grove.
(They really do quake!)
Then we packed all the gear back into the car and headed to church in Cheyenne. We thought it started at 9:00, but when we walked into the chapel, they were well underway. Come to find out, they just divided their wards and started a new meeting schedule 2 weeks ago. We went back out to the car to nap for a half hour, then we came in again and we enjoyed church with the next ward.

Now we're finishing up lunch at a wonderful Wyoming rest area (with free wifi!) and we'll get back in the car and drive to Kearny, NB, where we'll stay the night the Fort Kearny recreation area. Should be lots of interesting historical things to see there from the Oregon Trail and the Mormon Trail.
