I love to see the temple...

Our ward Young Women walked (12.8 miles!!!) from the Oregon City Stake Center to the Portland Oregon Temple today.  (The theme for the year is "Stand in Holy Places.")

Fresh and clean - ready to head out at 9:00 am this morning! Our awesome Sister Missionaries were allowed to come with us, too. They're on the right in this photo.
left to right front: Autumn L, Lauren F
middle row: me, Lindsey F, McKenzye G, Mialyn S, Pauli R, Jenna J, Janet F, Sister Stone, Sister Kerr
back row: Amy W, Rene' C, Adi W, Shandria, Paul A, Letia A, Kendall F

Even though she's 6 months pregnant, Letia Arendes (she's my 2nd counselor) led the hike!

Crossing the Oregon City - West Linn bridge over the Willamette River.

Our first rest stop, at Hammerle Park (aka Bolton School), had a play structure. So of course, the girls played...

Half way there! Just before Marylhurst on Highway 43.

McKenzye was startled to learn that Lake Oswego actually has a lake! We hiked right by it.

Love the shade!! We actually had shade most of the way. It was overcast until we were getting in to Lake Oswego. The weather was definitely a tender mercy for us today. Not too cold, not too hot. Perfect weather for Goldilocks.

Getting SO close! Less than 1/2 mile to go!!

 Temple in view!

Me feet are a little sore, my muscles are a little achey, my heart is very happy.
