I finished the ninth book for my 10-week PSU class this evening!
The last book was 411 pages long - that was a lot to read in one week. I really didn't think I would finish, but I did. It was The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test by Tom Wolfe.
Yes, that's Ken Kesey, the author of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and Sometimes a Great Notion.
Now I just have to attend class on Monday and Wednesday this week, and come up with a workable idea for my final paper - 2500 words - and then I can wrap up the class. Whew!

Oh, not sure if I'd want to read that book. One of the things I actually love about going to school is being forced to read books that I wouldn't choose myself. I think it's a wonderful way to be exposed to new literature. So I'm proud of you for finishing this book, even if it doesn't earn a place on your "top books" list!
Oh, and if you ever need a buddy to read a book along with you for moral support, or for discussion purposes, don't forget about me. I'd be honored to join you in reading a tough book sometime.
Congrats...you're almost there!
Funny that you say the "workable idea" for your final 2500 paper is the biggest challenge yet ahead. Not the writing of it? But I get it. Kind of like an artist staring at a blank canvas....figuring out WHAT to paint is often more difficult than the actual process.
Good luck!
Thanks for the vinegar tip! I had no idea and I think that helps with keeping colors too, maybe it will make my whites, whiter!! Thanks!
Good luck with your paper and the last few classes! You can do it.
