My Beautiful Garden

I don't mean to be vain, but I think my garden is so beautiful this year...

...the lettuce is hanging in there through the summer heat.
It's soooooo yummy...

...we didn't get any strawberries in May or June because of all the rain, but now they are hiding under the strawberry leaves...

...the beans are coming on and they are delicious...
we had some for supper tonight...

...maybe the tomatoes will get red someday...maybe...

...there's a brave little pepper plant...

...the zucchini thinks it owns the front corner of the garden...

...when I was planting the veggies, I sprinkled in some wildflower seeds...
I suppose it was naughty, but aren't they beautiful?...

...the chard and broccoli I planted last month are coming along...

...the whole garden is full of color and wonderful delicious yumminess...

...thank you, Heavenly Father, for my beautiful, wonderful garden!

Ah yes. That lettuce is wonderful, and I'm even excited about the zucchini that came my way. :) Your garden is lovely AND productive!

So happy that your garden is doing so well. YOu are very good at tending to it. Wish I was closer to help taste test some of your yummy plants.

It looks SO yummy, Kathy. We just sowed some seeds for an Autumn Garden . . . there was an article in the paper here a few weeks ago and I clipped it to save as a resource. We just moved into our new house, so we couldn't do a garden this summer, but the article assured me that the lovely, mild Northwest climate is perfect for growing things late into the Fall. I'll let you know how it all turns out!

It really is a great garden Mom!

Holly and I were very excited to harvest some of the lettuce from our own garden for a salad tonight. There's just something about food you've grown yourself that tastes special.

Hi kathy...loved reading your blog and catching up on all your news (and getting to know you again.) You look so healthy and skinny (yes, I've been following you on that, too!) Lots of love to you, Mark and all the family!
