Camassia - Week 3

Here's another batch of photos from Camassia.  Most are from the same vantage points as in earlier posts, so I can track the progress of spring in this very special place.  I've added an extra--a shot of a natural reflecting pool--because there was so much rain the day before we visited (3/29/09).  In the reflection, you can see the cell tower--but the osprey next is gone this year...too much stormy wind in the winter?  Or did the cell tower owners get tired of hosting the ospreys?

It's fun to see the progress! When do you think the flowers will be blooming?

I'm getting to be such a grump about this cool weather...I want to go looking for the flowers when it is a WARM day!(Warm means no sweater necessary. :)

The flowers begin to bloom in earnest end of March / early April. But Mark saw some fawn lilies about to open when we went on Sunday - we know where to find a whole patch of them - should be blooming in a week or so...
