Fruits of the Spirit

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperence: against such there is no law.
Galatians 5:22-23

I made several of these yummy and healthy Fruit and Yogurt parfaits for the Young Women's class I teach at Church. The fruit colors were inspired by the Value colors of the YW program (white is the yogurt, and gold will be the granola we'll add when I serve them).

Our lesson today asks the girls to ponder who she is and who she can become. It's a good question to think about.

You can find the quick-and-easy directions for the parfaits on The Red Kitchen, where Katie suggests using wide-mouth pint Mason jars for easy tranportability. Thanks, Katie!

This looks absolutely delicious! I love that you put them in jars. Super smart and cute. I should start doing lunches that way for Rob and me.

It is always a good thing to ponder who you are and where you are going. The Reverend at our Church once said, "become who you already are" - That has stuck with me.

Best,

Pondering who you are is SUCH a wonderful thing for teenagers to do. The new curriculum isn't as perfect as some would like, but it is light years better than what I had, or even last year.

It is becoming a norm, and a good one as far as I can see. Talking to Josh today he was upset that they didn't get any homework in Sunday School or YM to be thinking about for next week's lesson. Less than a month in and he already expect to be part of this week, and next week's lessons!
