Freezing Fog

I love it when the weather is alliterative...

We had over a week of freezing fog, and it was so pretty. Luckily, we didn't have the slick roads that some areas experienced. Just the loveliness of powdered-sugar trees, and none of the mess of snow.

Of course, my camera never captures everything the eye picks up. There were towering trees clothed in white lace, but unfortunately, they were out of the range of my little grandma-camera lens.

By today it had warmed up into the 40s and we had rain again.

Sending warm thoughts to dear family members still shivering in the midwest.

Good pictures! I especially like the last one of the Kale with frost. Paulene went out with a camera one day after our morning walk and got some images, too, but I haven't seen them yet. We couldn't get over how beautiful it was every day as we walked in the dawn. Glad you got some pictures, too!

Pretty pretty. I love the way freezing fog makes things look. I was just thinking we haven't gotten as much of it this year as we have other years...but it's probably just that I haven't noticed it as much since our dirt filled yard makes such things less noticeable.

What is going on in the neighbor's front yard? Carnival come to town?

Oh, and, yes, pretty pictures.

Your yard looks beautiful in these photos. I think, 200 miles away, we had some of the same morning frost around here. It really felt like winter for a while!
