Scripture Study

Alma 32:16 "...blessed is [s]he that believeth in the word of God, and is baptized without stubbornness of heart, yea, without being brought to know the word, or even compelled to know, before they will believe."

Mom will be baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormon) on August 24. She says this is something she has wanted for a long time. I've wanted this for a long time, too...41 years! Feeling so blessed.

Way to go, Nana! I have a difficult time expressing the joy I felt when she called to tell me the news this afternoon. The Gospel has blessed my life and my family in so many ways, and I'm SO happy for Nana that she is taking this step!

Scott and I are looking forward to being there. Nana and I often talked about Mormon things when I lived with her and grandad. She would always remind me that it was just curiosity because grandad would never change his mind. I know Nana misses Grandad, but I think it is such a tender experience for her to choose to join now, when there is no pressure either way. I'm lucky to come from a long line of great women!

See you there!
